A low, spreading, evergreen shrub with a neat habit. Features small, dark-green leaves with a prominent, red-to-purple margin. Produces spikes of white flowers.

Veronica decumbens is a tough, low-growing subshrub featuring distinctively dark purple-black stems and narrow, waxy leaves.
• Plant in full sun and very free-draining soil.
• Water deeply during dry spells when establishing roots.
• Trim lightly after flowering to maintain compact shape.
• Withstands harsh Central Otago frosts and cold winters.
