A highly ornamental, rugged evergreen large shrub or small tree with a gnarled, twisting trunk and shredding red-brown bark. Features leathery, glossy dark green leaves. Simultaneously bears clusters of white, bell-shaped flowers and strawberry-like red edible fruits.
