A highly popular, robust evergreen shrub or small tree with a dense, bushy, rounded habit. Features glossy, leathery, dark green oval leaves held in striking contrast along vivid, deep cherry-red twigs and stems. Bears slender racemes of fragrant white flowers followed by dark purple berries.
